well i had wished that i would have all of my kids together for the first time in several years. as it turns out it will be minus one. my youngest has to work...praying that christmas is a family gathering this time.

other than that working on some small christmas ornaments for a craft fair at Teas Valley West Middle School on Dec. 3. think two dollars will be a taker...they are so cute. Maybe post a photo another day.

finished my Quick Trip that i was so impressed with at retreat. the top is done, no backing and quilting yet..maybe another day i will post those photos also.

well thought I would give an update to my life for those who care. I had an accident with my motorcycle while visiting a family friend. skinned my leg good and just got an estimate for repair on my motorcycle..1,600 dollars...YIKES. thank God for insurance.

have been to amish country this last month to help Irene pack some. Wonderful time as always. Went to the zoo with my former boss Karen..took her grands with us...great time there. Visited a gf who has had surgery...planned on attending a quilt retreat in September..

This past week I have made a Primative Gathering wall hanging called Itty Bitty Primative Pinwheels that i picked up at NQA. Thinking about using the piece for a purse...think it would be more useful that way. check out the pictures below.

not much going on..just lots of running. have wonderful granddaughter Jenessa this week and busy every day so far. today we are heading to cosi, tomorrow is the zoo..friday is fishing...hmmm maybe some sewing saturday...we are planning to try to get a quilt started. have had company last month...went visiting and found a quilt retreat in september, at zinks inn in berlin ohio...can't wait. started cutting twirling triangles. also going to cut out a kt quilt to work on...

well went shopping yesterday and got some material for a purse...looking forward to making this up and perhaps making one for relatives..hope to get some sewing in today which i hope but not sure...foot swelled up bad yesterday while walking and shopping...fun night with hubby going to dinner then over to find a park for fishing. hope you all have a wonderful day.

Irene stated it has been 9 months since i posted ..i am thinking it may have been longer but that is ok...had wonderful week sewing with her...she has inspiried me more...so here we go...hope i remember to get on here to post more often...this week i put together another jacobs ladder with border..so that top is done..now to get it quilted...then i moved onto my Fons and Porter scrappy forget the name of it...just have to finish one more border of diamonds on point...then i started my batik stars. did not get my dear jane going again but that is this afternoons work...wooo hooo. so here are a few photos..

wow i have not posted since April...sorry to all those who have been asking me to update..so here goes...cleveland clinic are treating me now...the people in columbus i would suggest to anyone...so sorry but a very bad experience with the people i was sent to for pain management.

also i have been sewing...big improvement in attitude thanks to some wonderful friends. it is getting me motivated again..as you will see...putting up some photos under this. Ann and Irene made/are making a quilt called crossing ohio...i fell in love with it and here is my version...

then Irene and I chose to do a challenge between us...this one is called Reminisce: a medallion sampler quilt...here is my center thus far made of civil war...and Irenes made with Batiks and brights. more pictures as time allows.

LONG TIME COMING

Well i am relearning how to live, life with a "label" is hard to deal with but glad it finally came about. looking forward to the Ohio Quilters retreat coming up next weekend. looking at all my fabric and thinking it is time to use it up. going to make Jenessa a few dresses, want to make a double wedding quilt out of 1930's, then i change my mind and think Kansas Trouble, then think civil war. only time will tell. i want to make a tumbler quilt out of 30s so thinking the double wedding ring will be out of kt or cv. although a tumbler quilt out of Civil war would look good. someone help me.

i am heading up to berlin on wednesday, due to my foot, mike agreed i should go up early just to give my foot a day to rest. Bless his soul..he has been wonderful. Just gives me more days to shop. Cheese shop, cross stitch, quilt..hmmmmmmmm wish i lived closer.

well i am making a gift for the hotel, will take picture and post it when i am done.

update on life

well today i had my foot down most of the day..was working on this crazy jigsaw puzzle my gf gave me as a gift. i loved it and for some strange reason it took me almost a week to put together a 1000 piece puzzle. normally i make one that size in a day maybe a day and half. but now that is done and tomorrow i plan on sewing.

as for my foot i have had a spinal block which i really wish they would have done three months ago. what they do is put the nerve to sleep and allow it to reboot itself. it can take 3-14 days for any releif...but so far since yesterday i have had little pain..just pressure. i love how i can stand and make dinner without thinking opps i have to sit down and take pain killer. next week i hope to vacumn that is my true test.

i will update the blog another time with the cross stitch i am working on...and going to start another one or two more...yes i am a starter....now to finish some up.

hope everyone has a great day and gets to enjoy what they love to do best. tomorrow mike said we are going out somewhere to celebrate. i can't wait!!!

here is the bookmark that I sent Dee through the Kustom Krafts group. she said it sparkles i am thinking because of the chirstmas card i had put it in with sparkles on it. got a good chuckle out of that one.

This is the mona lisa book mark my grand daughter Jenessa wanted, it took me a week to do, just mailed it off to her today. i know she will get a lot of use out of it since she reads so much.

well i have had a wonderful end to a trying year, all the kiddies are now home and house is quiet again. i am working on a mona lisa book mark for my 8 year old granddaughter Jenessa who was here for a week to enjoy nana and papas time. she is reading the fifth book of harry potter and loves to read so i will make her a bookmark for herself. she loved the one i got in an exchange on a cross stitch group i belong to. then i will go back to my sons picture and my new start of mystic tigers from Kustom Krafts. also doing a head bookmark...that is a sal. Story keep enchanted. about 90 colors in it so i know a lot of threading needle.

news on the foot...i saw the doc yesterday...he told me that we have at least a years time to allow this to heal but i can walk with no brace or boot anymore as long as i am comfortable with it. i don't mind not having the support but it still swells and the swelling causes pain. next week i will be going to a pain management specialist. time will tell with this i guess.

time to get stitching today...want to finish up my granddaughters bookmark..if i finish i will post a photo tomorrow.

well i have decided to post what i plan to do this year so that it is now in print and i am responsible for maintaining the outcome. i want to finish my sons dragon picture this year, i want to finish a kustom kraft cross stitch called dolphins at play, also one called mystic tigers, i am doing a stitch a long with two groups...one is a sweet lady by the name of Rae Ann, we are doing stockings, here is the link to her blog http://1czyquiltersniche.blogspot.com/ also one for a book mark from HEAD that is called enchanted garden, this is just adorable. soo there it is out there in print...now to get working on a finish i must do today..a book mark for my granddaughter ....she picked mona lisa of all things...lol.

i finished two projects yesterday...one a snow flake from oakhaven cross stitch group..the other is Tech Support by calico crossroads. hope you enjoy the photos...got the tech support amed...not sure how to treat the snowflake as of yet...thank you TOnia for such wonderful gift.

good afternoon everyone. here is the results of my dying job...then my redye. also the cross stitch i am working on for my father in law for christmas. only a little more to go..yippeee. kitted up my dragon for the dyed fabric for my son...only have to get about a dozen skeins of floss. and i am giving away to a wonderful lady some of my stash...it has not even touched all i own.

for those following about my foot, got news yesterday that i did not need to come back up for a cast but ...there is always a but with me isn't there, i can not walk on it yet. that will be another month before i get the ok there. as long as i use the boot and wheelie...i am good.

today i am going to be sitting again and cross stitching..next monday i go to get cast off i hope. my fingers are crossed that it will be allowed. i am so scared that the fusion did not take again. but time will tell.

chance seems to be growing huge...now he can no longer fit on my roll about comfortably. it is sooo funnny.

bruiser had to be outside with mike while it was raining..wanted to come in and lay on the couch.

saturday we went and saw something about steve...i was getting down and needed an uplift and getting out of the house. long rides are not comfortable for me and i can't walk much cause all the blood goes into my toes if i am walking. it just hangs there.... that gets uncomfortable. so the movies got me out..made me feel kinda normal...and gave me something stupid to laugh at.

well today i was going to post pictures of my retreat jacket and the wonderful purse i made there. but my camera is dead so that is not possible. so i will be posting another day those and some of the hexagon parts i have. i am thinking of doing a swap with nickle quilt sqares so that i can make a few more charm totes.

i smell the steak and potatoes that are on the grill so going to leave this for now. have a wonderful day.

well i thought i would post a picture of the stray that turned into a pet. mike wanted to call him last chance...so i am just calling him chance...here is a picture of him...sooo cute...it irks me that people are so rude to throw out a cat like this. he was sick, enough to take him to the vets, but he loves people and other animals...we have two other cats and a dog. i think he came into our life to replace the other dog that passed two weeks ago. anyway..here is his pic. i love his racoon type tail.

Hi there everyone, i am so exicted..heading to retreat for the weekend, going to be quilting for a good bit of time.....many wonderful friends, no drama, and super food both from our group and the wonderful catering. i will miss my fur babies, and human family for the time but just makes it more special to come back to. I have some wonderful company here today ...miz scrappy pants and her lovely furbaby kayla. we are heading out tomorrow. enjoy the weekend, i know i am going to!!
